The Top Suspense Group anthology is a collection of well written yarns covering suspense, mystery, and drama with some horror thrown in. The authors prove why they are the Masters of the Genre. There should be something for everyone interested in noir style storytelling with so many different views of the subject. Some of the twists and turns are mild while others snap back on themselves sharp enough to give you whiplash.
I particularly enjoyed Remaindered by Lee Goldberg, A Hand Full of Dust by Harry Shannon and El Valiente En El Infierno by Paul Levine.
I highly recommend this work.
I have read this collection and give it the thumbs up!
The stories are great and easily worth £2.14 that is what I call a bargain! you will get more than your monies worth!
Some people say you only get what you pay for but in this case that would be wrong, why? Well, you get a hell of a lot more for your money!
13 stories of crime, thriller/suspense and mystery by some of the best in the business, for one very low price.
Let me tell you that Stephen Gallagher’s “Poisoned” is worth the price of this anthology alone!! The last page of the story made me gasp and I continued to think about it for days later…
Ed Gorman’s “The Baby Store” is perhaps set in the future and is a very clever story that pulls your heart strings but may leave you hating the lead characters…
Harry Shannon’s “A Handful Of Dust” is a typical Shannon, a gritty noir style story about a hit man who has the tables turned on him and finds out what real fear is about…
Bill Crider’s “Death’s Brother” was a cool story where a university teacher helps a young female in his class but he will pay a price…
Lee Goldberg’s “Remaindered” features an author on the downward slide but he takes advantage of a young female fan and looks to a book to get himself out of a sticky situation…
I could keep going but I urge you to try this very well priced anthology for yourself before I ruin the stories for you!!
Apart from three authors, i’m embarrassed to say I have not heard of the rest as I normally read more horror fiction but after reading this Ebook I will be looking for more stories from the authors featured in this anthology. If your worried about spending money on an author you have not heard of don’t be because there is not one bad story here.
I hope they do another like this in the future…..
A terrific collection from the best of the best and a steal at this price. There is a trade paperback too
